Being a better retailer

Our retail concept is based around five principals.

Attracting the passing customer with a reason to come in. A fun and exciting store draws attention inwards.  For example, when football is playing – we show it on the screens.

Once the customer is in store, it is our goal to get them to spend, either on what they need, or what they desire.

Allowing the brands to shine  We treat each brand the way equally priced products in Duty Free are treated.  Each brand gets 1m of dedicated furniture space. All core brands have demonstration units.

A bright uncluttered, easy to navigate store gives space to be inspired. All furniture is lit to highlight products and extensive video and graphics focused on lifestyle allow this drive home the desirability of the products.

Bringing the staff and transaction to the customer  No large till points result in staff being more approachable, rather than being seen as hiding behind counters.   Training in product knowledge and sales techniques adds the value the customer demands.

Changing as fast as the market Using our own bespoke furniture allows us to change brands with market demand and trial new products and ideas. Digital point of sale allows messages to be changed instantaneously.

A digital Store

Our retail concept is built around convincing the customer to buy. Unlike city stores, travel retail has a remarkably different customer base based on time of day, day of week or seasonally.

Our digital point of sale throughout the store allows us to change the message to match passenger flow and target nationalities. With content managed centrally and implemented within seconds, customised messages and promotions can be created for specific occasions, large and small.

All product items are EDI Ready.  We can interface with landlord retail portals, with full drop-shipment capabilities if required.

Product information is available via QR codes – popular with higher spending Asians, and helping the team members add value with product information.

MoveStore 3.0 features Dynamic Content Play  - taking cues from customer actions to display information that matches their requirements.  

Audience Measurement allows customer recognition cameras to display media that matches their demographic purchase habits.

Our content management system is Samsung MagicInfo, a capable, stable software suite that interfaces with all screen types and digital content. This allows us to roll out and manage in a cost effective way.

Category Managed

As a value added distributor, all of our brands come with fully category managed planograms, customised to that unique location. This, alongside local knowledge, ensures sales optimisation.

These individual brands, are then built into a complete store proposal, complete with renders and product lists.

An annual promotional calendar is also offered to keep the stores focused on customer needs, supporting local marketing teams.

Clever Furniture

Developed by the Singapore design house Concourse, our bespoke furniture concept is plug and play. Designed to let the brands shine, it arrives ready for installation in-store. It is scalable, and cost effective.

We manufacture in Germany to the highest standards. Our manufacturer, Holzbach7, creates furniture with craftsmanship & design to the highest technical and creative level.

They design and POS concepts, from a simple stand-alone display units to a complete smart store an manufacture to the highest airport fire standard requirements.

With sustainability in mind, we insist on sustainable materials. Our furniture is multi-use.

Strong Backoffice capabilities

Omnichannel Ready

The consumer of today expects to buy in the way they feel most comfortable with. With the benefits of experiencing the products instore and the benefits of online retailing, sales can only increase in comparison to mono-channel retail.

Our back office systems allow for pre-order, deliver to home and deliver to arrivals solutions. Linked with EDI and instore QR codes, the customer can inform themselves about their product choices.

The Move Club will drive increased second bite purchases through value driven promotions - something airport retailers often lack due to passenger flying frequency.

Ih-house Distribution

Our logistics competence is a company strength, rather than an outsourced cost centre. Our warehouses in Germany, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore allow us to hold product closer to the retail location, reducing travel time and costs.

Our back office systems know where the products are, if they are assigned to customers, and when the will be fulfilled.

We also offer a full drop-shipment service, so products can be ordered online on in-store and can be delivered to any address within the European Union from central stock. Combined with inhouse printing and engraving capabilities, we can customise all products with a 24 hour turnaround.

Our customs team have delivered to the most challenging markets worldwide, so nothing is seen as too difficult or complex.

Training & development

Customers expect engaged, knowledgeable and friendly staff to guide them to a sale. Without this, shopping online is easier.

Our Staff Training centre is a virtual retail store in our head-office available for in-situ or virtual training using Logitech conferencing systems.

Continual train the trainer and instore training carried out by the brands and our in house development teams is focused on product, skills and selling attitudes.

We incentivise our teams to self-learn, through bonus schemes and promotion possibilities.
